The INDEPENDENT DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION (IDA) is a professional organization uniting Russian and international corporate directors and experts in corporate governance. IDA has been founded in 2002 and unites more then 500 members.

Mission statement:
To assist Russian public companies in improving their performance by implementing the best corporate governance practices.

Vision:
To formulate and maintain professional and ethical standards of independent directors.

During existence the IDA members were appointed as independent directors to the following companies: Mechel, Mezhprombank, Norilsky Nikel, Wimm-Bill-Dann, North West Telecom, Centertelecom, Votkinsk HPP, Kalugaenergo, Kurganenergo, Permenergo, Stavropol GRES, Apteka Holding, etc.
